Sister's Readers Sharing Their Stories: Battzi's 4-8-12 Update
I Shall Not Quit!
Happy Easter to all my readers who celebrate it. Happy Passover and the Counting of the Omer to my fellow He-brews and She-brews! ;) This has been an eventful week for me. Monday, 2 April found me in the Emergency Room hooked up to IV's, Oxygen, Breathing Treatments. I had been having some trouble breathing but I kept working regardless. It got to the point that I could not sleep because I was choking. Sisters and Brothers, I have Acute Bronchitis, my Asthma is raging, much inflammation within the Bronchial tubes and a Blood Pressure reading of 190/107.
The Doctor had a fit. He placed me on Bed Rest that very night. I have been home since then. This is not what I expected when I started eating as natural as I could. I thought that I was improving my health not harming myself.
Now I'm on Steroids, Blood Pressure Meds, Antibiotics and a powerful Inhaler. I still have the knot at the base of my head. On top of all that, I have nothing left to pay this month's rent. I'm in a pickle all the way around BUT I am grateful for life. I am grateful that I have Sister Vegetarian, all of you, Bandit, my sweet kitty. I'm grateful that I can see even though I wear glasses. I can hear, walk, talk, laugh, cry, feel, do things for myself.
I'm grateful for the job that I have and for those who are my friends. I'm even grateful for my enemies. I mean, at least I'm important enough for them to spend so much time talking about me and worrying about what I'm doing. ;)
Eating naturally has improved many things in my health and life. My awareness of life in all of its agony and its ecstasy has grown. I find that I don't want any life form to suffer for my benefit or any human to not have whatever stage of life they are in to be disrespected. I've taken the "Pro-Life" Badge to the nth degree. From the Womb to the Tomb. All Life is to be respected, nurtured.
When you eat life, you life broadens. Your mind expands. Old things, desires fall away. You see things in a different light. You might think that the Meds I'm on have me thinking this way. You may be right but I was thinking like this before I became ill.
I abused my body by eating too much Sugar, Salt, Milk, Eggs, etc. I overdid everything. 56 years of abuse. Now I'm treating my body better. I'm loving myself. What I'm going through is just my body shaking off the chains of neglect.
I shall not quit what I have started. I've come too far to turn back now. I shall get better.
Love Your Life,
