Sister's Thursday Quick Tip of The Day: Follow my 5-step math calculation

Living a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle is not expensive. There are so many myths that make assumptions and erroneously state that this lifestyle is expensive without people ever trying to live as a vegetarian or vegan. This myth is used as an excuse. Living a vegetable based lifestyle, you do not need to purchase all organics. The main point is to make the majority of your meals whole foods (unprocessed foods). Whole foods not only save you money, but they are healthier. Another way that you are saving money is that by leading this lifestyle, your health improves and wallet size increases. This means the possibility of fewer or no more medications (please consult your physicians on this one). The myth of vegetarian and vegan lifestyles being more money is the same lie made up by the meat (including poultry and fish) industry that people need these meals to survive. Meat is causing many of the ailments from young to old. Using the old myth that vegetables cost more is an excuse. Move out of the darkness and into the light of a vegetable based lifestyle.

Still think that being a vegetarian or vegan costs more? You do the math.

Stop living with your eyes closed. Follow my 5-step math calculation and you will have your eyes opened to a healthier way of living.

Step 1: Do a comparison shopping at your local grocery store, farmers market, and whole foods store.
Step 2: Make two columns on a paper and record what you would spend on a meat-based lifestyle for column one and on a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle for column two.
Step 3: Don't embellish and don't cheat to make it one-sided in meat's favor (seriously...I've been there and done that...).
Step 4: See the win-win! I won't say I told you so, but the vegetarian and vegan column will win.
Step 5: Your eyes and mind are open. You are now ready to make a healthy change that is good for your body and wallet
