Instead of using wheat flour to make a vegan pizza crust, try the raw version of a pizza crust using almonds grounded up in a food processor and seasoned with herbs. Here's my quick raw vegan pizza crust and pizza.
Raw Vegan Pizza: 1 serving
Raw vegan pizza crust:
1 cup whole raw almonds, soaked for 6 hrs and drained
2 TBSP olive oil, or more if needed to make slightly moist but spreadable on a plate
1 garlic clove
1 tsp fresh parsley
1 tsp fresh oregano
Directions: grind almonds in food processor until grounded completely. Add the remaining ingredients. Spread on a plate as though you would spread a pizza dough. I placed in the refrigerator as I prepare my pizza toppings below.
1 cup of collard greens, cut in thin strips
Dice 1 tomato
slice3-4 portobello mushrooms
1/4 cup raw vegan cheese (click here for Sister's review and preparation of two raw vegan cheese recipes)
1/4 cup onions, sliced in 1/2 in strips
4 mini sweet red and yellow peppers, sliced in 1/2 inch strips
Directions to make pizza:
Take the raw vegan pizza crust out of the refrigerator. Crumbled raw vegan cheese on top. Add remaining ingredients on top. Serve.
